About Signa
Hello, I'm Signa. I call myself an historian, but really I'm a bit of a polymath, I just love learning. I'm interested in history, archaeology, linguistics, anthropology, zoology... a lot of ologies. History is my main passion, though. Currently, I'm studying towards a degree in Classical Studies while taking lessons in Ancient Greek and Classical Latin.
I've been volunteering in museums on and off since 2014, and through that, I've had the opportunity to work with curators and the public, I've run demonstrations of Viking age textile crafts, and got up close with some amazing artefacts. I've been able to share my knowledge and love for history.

I believe that history should be accessible for everyone, and yapping about history is one of my favourite hobbies. That's why I started the History Nook in 2025.
About the History Nook
I want the History Nook to be a hub for all the educational material I produce, be that downloadable PDFs, articles, videos, or something else entirely. But i'd also like it to be a community. A place where people can come together, talk and learn. A place where we embody the phrase 'you learn something new every day'. A place for the big questions about difficult topics, and the little questions like 'Can you explain what BC and BCE mean?'
